Leadership and Community Action ^sm

Girls Inc. of Guilford County and Youth First presents Leadership and Community Action ^sm workshop for girls. In this workshop for girls ages 8 to 12, girls come together to celebrate their heritage as leaders. They discover their own leadership skills through hands-on activities, role-play, and community exploration. In addition, they use all types of resources to  create an environment of recognition and celebration of female leaders from many cultures, past and present. Together, Discovery partners explore and build upon this legacy to form their own ideas about what leadership means to them. During the weekly sessions, the girls explore together the concept of leadership, their role in leadership and their responsibility for taking action.
